What kind of checks do Kroger cash?

This may be a dumb question but I have been holding onto my college disbursement check for a about 2 months now and I am trying to cash it now but don't want open an account just to cash it. So I was wondering would Kroger cash it? It's for 1,100 dollars. I also heard whatever bank is listed on the check I can cash it there without an account is that true?

They will cash it, and it should be free.

Kroger should be able to cash the check.  We run it through as a payroll check.  Here it costs $3.00 to cash any payroll checks up to $2,000.00.

But when the college a lot of our employees attend (Northwest Mississippi Community College) sent out reimbursement checks, there was a problem and we couldn't cash them.  Every time we tried, the system kept telling us to "refer customer to Certegy."  We had a lot of unhappy people as a result, but it wasn't our fault.

@VWguy90 LMAO we are in the same area. I may even know you but I am not disclosing my identity. LOLOL But I think ill just cash my check at sycamore bank instead before I forget I even have the check again.

In all honesty I think you should open up a bank account if you have more than $100.

Kroger isn't supposed to cash checks over 60 days old. So if it's more then that then tough crap.
