Okay so last weekend I had training al Kroger and was told it's paid training. Does that mean I get paid today (Thursday) for the training I did? & if I do. Do I just go to customer service and say I'm here for my training check? ALSO I was told after I was done training I would get on schedule well its been practically a week and I'm still not on schedule and the manager guy is dodging my calls (well it feels like it) so I'm about to just say screw it and take a job at another place I just want my pay from training because I had to drive a longgg way to another location just for bagger training. HELP anyone

At my store checks are issued on Fridays. Just go to customer service Friday and ask if they have a check for you yet. As for your schedule you should have been given a paper one until you were put on eSchedule. I would keep calling or go in and ask what hours they want you or if you should just wait.

And yes you do get paid for training. Orientation too. And it isn't a stupid question. I remember when I first started at Kroger I was confused and aggravated as hell. They don't tell you anything and if they do they're so vague you still don't know anything.

You get paid for training but you won't get paid for it right now.  It will be on your first check.  We get paid each Friday for the previous week, so the earliest you would get a check is next Friday.  As for the schedule, they get written a week in advance, so you won't physically be on the schedule but they should give you times that you should be there until you are in the system and on the actual schedule.

yes you get paid for it. However, new employees at my store are having a hard time getting hours. If they get any it's only 12 hrs, though you may get called to come in. this coming week I have 27 hours, I'm expecting to have 40 hours by the end of the week because none of the "kids" want to work on off days or past their scheduled times.....plus they just cut 40 from our dept! Oh, the joys of retail......

Same here until they hire 4 new people for our crew.  I think another one is about to quit so they better hurry and get more people hired...  I was scheduled 32 hours this week.  I was supposed to be off Saturday morning but someone called in.  I got called in to work 8 hours.  Already got my 40 for the week!
