Yes, they do have access to your till but since every transaction is recorded and there's always a camera on each register, I don't think she would risk it.  Even if the cameras didn't catch her pocketing any money, they wouldn't show you taking any money either.  That is if you didn't actually take any money.

Also, keep in mind that anyone with a register # could sabotage you just as easily.

always go into secure mode (no sale + sign on) when you step away or sign out completely for break so they have to override & force you off or, at a minimum, sign on as someone.

do not share your password with others and don't use the default one assigned to new people like /100 or / your store number.  the instructions on how to change it are on the produce code roller or you can ask your CSM or bookkeeper to help you.  do not let them cashier as you.  sometimes we cashier as somebody else at our store to complete an order in an emergency but it's a bad practice.

have any of your tills come up short or missing things that you've been told?

If it helps any, this is how we change our password:

[cashier number] > [/] > [current password] > [override] > [new password] > [sign on] > [re-enter new password] > [enter]

Example, type in....

123 / 1111, OVERRIDE, 1234, SIGN ON, 1234, ENTER
