You can only work in one store during your employment.
You may work in different departments. Though only if you can handle it. They're often regarded as "lackeys" and whatnot. I know someone in my store who's worked dairy, bakery, deli, produce (nutrition), and grocery.
Yes, you can transfer in-between departments with manager approval.

No, you can work at other stores when you work at fred meyer. People do it all the time. No biggie.
As far as working different departments that can cause trouble if you're going between the home and grocery department, but its not uncommon for grocery clerks to go get hours in departments like produce or seafood. Don't see many going to the deli.

OP what department do you work in.
I don't think Kroger would appreciate having one of the employees work a 16-hour day. Remember, it all comes from one payroll machine up in Cincinnati. They can send a guy over to another store to help them out, but he can't be employed concurrently by another store.
Unless you're just being a smartass, you little F-CK-1.
I've seen guys who worked an opening shift at their store go over to another store and work 'till close. If the other store is willing to pay the overtime, then it can happen. As far as being scheduled between two stores constantly, I wouldn't see that happening. Its not something to count on constantly. If another store needs help they generally ask for people who wouldn't get OT, but most people won't go to another store for straight pay.
Yeah ppl do work at multiple stores in the same day. Happens all the time. Sure, it would be OT but if a store needs help that badly, they're willing to pay it.
It's happened in my store before. During the grand opening phase, we had a lady come from another store who had worked her 8 hour day, then drove over here, worked for 4 hours and baked cookies for us.
