8 more dollars taken out of my paycheck for stupid LEGAL FUND D ... up to 55 so far! Is this just going to be an ongoing thing now? Just going to start taking a weekly donation for any other legal related matter that might pop up in the future?????
1) it's already minimum wage, then 2) social security deduction went up (it's already gotten more than the State tax so far this year and now it's closing in on what the Federal has taken!) and now 3) these misc. paycheck deductions don't seem to want to go away!
.... it's a wonder I have anything left after the vultures are done.
With around 14 hours last pay period, guess how much I got through direct deposit today?
A whopping $76.60.
I went to a job fair two days ago and applied for two different jobs.
I'm searching out whatever I can find.
I do not work for $80 a week as a courtesy clerk and, indeed, should not be working for that much per week. Servers make more money than that usually and most of them in this state get paid less than minimum wage. For $80 a week, that is just selling my soul. And Kroger already took most of my self-respect and dignity, I won't let them have my soul. Or at least it would cost them more than f-u-c-k-ing $80 a week.
I'm just hoping that with school starting back up soon that I get more hours because the high school students we have on payroll won't be able to pick up their hours as much.
Only #1 is really kroger's fault..the rest you can blame on the government and the useless union.
Yea. A company would NEVER be allowed to yank employees' wages for legal fees. They can slash hours, but they can't take what you earned. A collective bargaining unit (union) can do that if it's in the contract though, which, most likely, it is.
