I swear people need to do their jobs and get along!  When someone screws up or can't get along with someone they put them back up front as a cashier.  Another one got kicked out of deli dept today.  One from the bakery two weeks ago.  We have enough cashiers up front as it is and they all get around 15 to 18 hours a week.  I say demoted because you know everyone hates the front end and they send you there as a punishment!

 

Some other REALLY bad stuff happened this week too but dang I can't tell y'all without possibly giving away who I am.  Maybe I will get on my other computer and sign up again LOL!

Sorry for your trouble.  It's kinda funny, our Deli/Bakery manager "threatens" to send people up front, and one gal finally said "Alright... let's do it." lol  That never happened again.

 

Screw it... There are lots of days where I wish I was bagging and shagging carts.

I do, but in the sense that if you die, you will end up in Hell doing something similar.

And there will never be enough time to get things done, so you will always feel helpless, lost and alone.

And management will give conflicting statements and orders and you will never get a break because they get too busy due to customers.

And gobacks will pile up so large that it will fall on you every so often and crush you to death. But since you are dead you can't be killed.

Well, the departments have much of these problems as well.

You just have to not take things personally. Once I accepted that things will never get done in the time given, and that management gives contradictory statements, and it's just going to be chaos, I felt much better. You can't fight the chaos, I mean you're supposed to at least try, but it's a war that can never be won. Embrace the chaos!

We had a manager that would threaten to move some of the cashiers to the deli if their ELMS score was not high enough. She demoted one cashier to bagging for that reason.

Ha! That's basically the same thing here!

 

 

We had this one lady who just couldn't get her score beyond 70, so they moved her to the bakery.
