I've never seen this before but if i had to guess i'd go with one of the following:

1) Vacation+personal pay out (if you didn't take any)
2) Backpay
3) Something to do with a lawsuit

Sounds like the comprehensive Kroger retirement package. Also look for watermelon seeds in your mailbox.

Actually, this:

"That is the "bonus" for the new contract, you will receive a paper check on top of your regular weekly check."

Mine was a paper check but noted on my Express HR checkstub.  Part timers that are at the highest payrate recieve half what the full timers recieved here.  Mine was $250 in Mi.
