If you bothered to do any research before hand (though, most likely, you didn't, and expected to be spoon-fed answers you seek), then you'll know the answer.
If you have a union card from Kroger, you get whatever you've made most recently. If you have a union card from another store/restaurant then they usually give you:
((Most recent - $7.25)/2) + $7.25. So if you made $10/hr at ABC Grocery, you would get about (($10-$7.25)/2) + $7.25 or about $8.60 an hour.

That only applies if the state's minimum wage is the bare minimum of $7.25.
So if OP applies your wonderful "equation" there and happens to have moved from say TX ($7.25) to... say, OR or CA, where the minimum is like $9, your formula indicates that Kroger will be paying the OP below the stated minimum wage.

Forgot about that. Well actually, it wouldn't surprise me if Kroger paid them state minimum in CA as $9 and told them something along the lines of "We just gave you an additional $0.40 an hour; you're welcome." and left it at that, without factoring in the ridiculous COL in those states (partially BECAUSE of that high minimum wage, but that's for a different rant).
