Yes, they get cleaned/changed, but not very often.

Yes, and it's Drug/GM's responsibility, at least at my store. Although they often try to make baggers and cashiers do it for them.

Actually we CC's are given ELMS hours to do the candy. But then again this is Kroger we're talking about so we never have TIME to get to it.

Baggers and cashiers have THEIR OWN work to do. Drug/GMC's can clean it themselves. And if it's kept up on a regular basis, then cleaning will be a breeze

Wait are we both talking about the same thing? I thought we were talking about the candy bar/gum stands in checklanes. I never realized that they were a big PITA to clean aside from general dusting.

Closing people in the front end is supposed to clean/condition. As for stocking in addition to clean/condition, it's Drug/GM.

No, no, no, guys, we aren't talking about check lane candy racks. We're talking about the bulk candy bins where you bag up your own and there are scoops in the bin.

At my store, the people from the candy company take care of it.  Back when I first started, the deli bakery department took care of it.

Oh shi-!

I have NEVER seen ANYONE ever interact with it for maintenance/stock/etc.

It's just.... there.

Unless I'm completely blind and missing something, I don't think my store even has bulk candy bins.

Right...my store doesn't have those either. Thank God, too, because it would end up spread out all over the ****ing store.

They're not actually too bad, but many times they end up being yet another thing for customers to steal. Also, they are these tiered things that are pretty tall so I call it "Candy Mountain"

As an FYI, they are usually Jelly Belly brand candy jelly beans.
