When Key Refailing goes too far

Today when I was breaking down the bakery frozen food order, I came across an empty box which had not been opened.  It said, "Empty box" on the side. Why?

Yeah! I saw one of those too, the other day.

What's up with that?

Ha!  That is odd.

I know they use empty boxes in the distro pallets of Bounty.  It is to keep the stack tight so it can be wrapped neatly.

If it was handwritten, that is odd.  If it was printed, maybe they put it on there to level out the stack so they could tie in another direction.

Heck, maybe there is a prize inside!  :)

Schrodinger's Box? It's empty and not empty when it is closed.

Like others have said, I'm sure it was to keep the pallet balanced.
