Lot Duty: The Black Hole of Talent

So it's come to my attention that whenever anybody works lot duty at my store, they think it is essentially a break. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to live, but I think that you should be able to get at least 6 carts in our lobby within 5 minutes. If you take 10 ****ing minutes to bring in 3 carts, put the damn phone down and do what you're getting paid for. You are disrespecting your managers, the customers, and even your co-workers when you decide that you're not going to put any effort into clearing the lot. Yea I know we're only getting paid $7.35 an hour, but that's what YOU agreed to. Nobody FORCED you to come work here. Everyone suffers when the lobby is empty of carts. If a customer can't get a cart, they're going to LEAVE and go to Wal-Mart, Super Target, or another Kroger. And when you start losing customers, sales drop. What, you may ask, is so important about this? Well, if we lose sales, then we lose hours. If we lose enough hours, then we're going to let people go. I know, not a big problem for your lazy ass since you're in high school. But there are some people that are making a living from Kroger. Kroger is full of opportunities for those who work hard and actually care about their job. You might not go straight from courtesy clerk to MD1, but there's almost always a higher position to work towards. If this job isn't for you, then get out quick before you ruin our lives.

I agree. The high schoolers are the laziest.

Also what's with the new username? What's new in version 2.0?

I did not make this post nor do I endorse it or have any affiliation with this post.
For the flattering impersonator: May you get run over in the parking lot by one of those a$$holes that always likes to swerve and drive in the opposite "lane" (side) of me when I am pushing 11 shopping carts by hand up the hill toward our store. What's the matter, dickhead, you can't wait 30 seconds for me to make it to the front of the store?

Not me.
I didn't make the post.
The sympathy is there; the name recognition is not.

If I wanted to make a 2.0 I would put more foul language and a greater contempt for the human race into my posts.

You forgot the half foot of snow and barefoot.  Always makes a better story.

As for the person using the nick, might be a newbie that couldn't get the nick they wanted.  Sounds like a computer geek nick.

Haven't had to work in snow yet.
That happened here in February and I wasn't employed with them yet.
As for barefoot, one of my two shoes has two holes in it.
With the pay I make I haven't had a chance to pick up some decent new ones yet.

Working on black ice is the worst. You go slip sliding everywhere whilst pushing carts. Falling on black ice is the worst.

Wear pink socks or something that stands out or even go sockless. Nothing to gross out a potential customer like bringing carts inside in triple digit temps and no socks :)
