If they put a '5', then we get 100% If they put a '4', then we get 0%
or so it seems. And every company is like that, no matter the rating scale. Even if they 'never give out perfect scores', 4's still mess everything up.
When Kroger re-introduced mystery shoppers in these past months, it was a sign that the OSAT surveys are useless. They have to pay someone HUNDREDS of dollars (that could have gone to giving us more hours, hiring more people, updating equipment, etc.) to check to make sure that someone who is probably not going to be here more than three months is acknowledging, assisting, and appreciating every damned customer. So yea, if OSAT surveys were as useful as executives thought they would be, we wouldn't have to hire all these freeloading mystery shoppers that for some reason can't do a job that is productive to society.
