We tried to get in contact with the admin a long time ago, but always hit walls. He left Kroger over 10 years ago and became invisible.

I don't think he left Kroger. I think he came to work one day and was assimilated, Star Trek Borg-style. He's probably in a back room somewhere taking inventory, a blank-eyed stare from his eyes and feeding tubes protruding from his neck.
Either that or he got smart and left this company at the first sign of corporate greed.

We did that, as well. Back when the board was being overran by spam bots they gave thedude mod status. I don't think we need more mods, tbh. Dude does a pretty decent job of taking care of the crazies while allowing people to actually speak their minds.

I thought this place had image ads.
I have adblock running in all of my browsers, but once I used another computer to browse this place and the ads were.... meh. They weren't invasive, but definitely not welcomed.

Truth is we need more mods.
More moderators is the last thing this board needs. With many moderated boards if the moderators don't like what you post, they'll delete it even if there was nothing wrong with it. Having more moderatators increases the chance of one of them not liking a post and taking the liberty of deleting it.
