So, I've been scheduled as a courtesy clerk since school started on September 2nd. Most of our clerks are in high school so we're short Monday-Friday during the day. I've been on the schedule as a clerk for the last three weeks. This week will be week 4. However, they do put me on a register when we're backed up, but that's really the only time. Personally, I feel like I've been demoted and they're not telling me. I don't mind being a CC, but I'd really like my job as a cashier back. I know that being a CC gives me more hours, but I was hired in as a cashier. They should either permanently make me a CC or switch me back to a full-time cashier because having to go back and forth is getting old. Plus, sometimes, I'm the only CC on the floor because the ones that are there are either out on carts or doing other tasks.
So you went from being a full time cashier to a bagger? How the hell did that happen? How did you become full time (if legit) and how did you lose it? AFAIK the only thing that can get you kicked back is a schedule restriction.
I'm sure that she's just been moved from cashier and is now being scheduled as a bagger. Part timer coded as FRONT END/Clerk. Most likely, The new kids will quit and you'll be moved back to cashier in no time.
