My question is i have 2 year working at the store i was a courtesy clerk as starting i did 1 year and 4 months as a clerk got a 30 cents raised then got promoted to gm non food night crew doing 8 months and still working and got only 10 cent raised. so i was wondering do the hours from a clerk apply to gm like all together or no and also is it good or bad 2 years being there and only get 40 cent raised what should i do?

GM clerk should be paid just like any other clerk in the store except a courtesy clerk. They only get one raise and that is it. Ask your shop steward because raises depend on your contract.
A 40 cent raise in 2 years is good. I got a 5 cent raise the first 6 months, then another 5 cents after a year and then another 5 cent raise after the second year.
Under our contract, the first 3 years are very small raises, usually 10-15 cents at a time every 6 months. Then, magically after your 3rd year is complete your raises start to get significantly higher, usually in the $1.00 range until you top out.
