Our co managers nickname is Hitler. I think this nickname was given to her when she worked at another store but follows her wherever she goes. Today she decided to come to my register and threaten to write me up. I had the key to the cigarette corral on the shelf beside me. She told me only the floor supervisors were allowed to have the key and she would hate to have to write me up. I asked her when this rule started, right now? She just walked off. She does that when you catch her lying or calling her out on something she is wrong about. So being the good employee that I am I checked with two floor supervisors and three cashiers and they weren't told this today. Or any other day. This is #33 on a list of #&$@ she has made up on the spot when I'm doing something and she wants it done a different way. Nothing, absolutely nothing I do is right when she is around. One day I put paper bags on the counter when we ran out of plastic bags. Guess what? I didn't put them on the counter the right way. OMG, who really cares? They were at the end of the counter right where you could easily grab one, open it and fill it. Right where we all have put them for the last three years. But it wasn't done her way. The only right way. Like we can all read her crazy mind or would even want to.
I can go two ways with this. Talk to the manager about her harassing me or just praise her.. tell her oh what a great idea, you are absolutely right thank you. (With or without kneeling before her.)

Hitler is so overused. I just call mine "Miss B-i-t-c-h". She threatened me with suspension today. Eight months there and I was wondering when she would get around to it. Front End Manager and she loves to intimidate courtesy clerks. I think she feeds off of our pain and souls like something out of a Stephen King novel.
You're probably be better off just doing what she says for the moments she's watching you then go back to doing it the old way after she leaves.

That is the best advice I have heard about a management staff giving you crap that I have .. well, ever heard.
It's been my mantra with my FEM for awhile now. I usually write down my schedule, then check the paperwork for hers. If I see that I'll be working underneath her, I write it down. That way at least I'm mentally prepared for possible BS that day.
