So one day while I was on lot duty I was informed that I was wrote up on an SI for not having a cart strap while I was on lot. The thing is I keep the strap in the lobby in case I have a large load. But instead I apparently have to carry the damn thing with me and use it if I have more than one cart per load. I am sick and tired of these stupid rules being made up day after day so we can keep up appearances.

That is total BS. THOSE CARTS are a pain in the ass enough to move manually without assistance from machinery or other persons. I have gotten to the point where I rarely use the strap. Eight months and I can now move as many as 11 of them at a time without out. With it about 12-13. They are a real pain on the hernia to move 180 degrees but if I can get momentum I can make them to the cart area of the store.
Written up for not having the strap? I know where they can put that damn strap.
Any EXPERIENCED employee knows the strap only slows you down and doesn't necessarily prevent an accident. My arms can generally reach out enough to bring in 5 carts at a time when needed, and while I go back to get my second group, the other fool is still tying up his strap.
