Wait a minute did you say "training"??  I hope you do get actual training for the position you got hired for. When you get to your store and your own your own it can become chaos!

They always have the cashier classes come through the produce department and had one of them asked me "Whats the difference between red leaf and green leaf lettuce?"

Always a bunch of young folks who already have that look of "I can't wait to quit this job" and some older person who is furiously taking notes and saying "The computer tracks that?"

OP you will fill out a bunch of paper work for your orientation and that will be it.  I hope you will actually get cashier training, but it has become very hit or miss.

 And remember the 3 A's.

And remember to keep ELMS above 95%.

And remember to not have a nervous breakdown.

This is more of a life sentence. You see, a challenege always has the possibility of being conquered.

Will it be group "training" at a different location?

You'll have a lot of fun finding out just how completely illiterate some of your new co-workers really are.

Seriously... You'll go "Wooowww"

I go for cashier training next Monday and Tuesday. I need to finish the computer work from the first training class. Do I go to my home store to complete it, or can I do it during cashier training. There is only two or three things to complete.

I doubt you'll have time during cashier school.  Unless you have another orientation shift then they probably won't make time for it.  Don't worry most people are not up to date on their "training".  Every once in a while managers will make a fuss about a specific web ct class and thats it.  Kroger is all about "OTJ training" and that means winging it for the most part.
