Personal holidays gone?

At the start of the year, ESS listed that I had four personal holidays to use, and I successfully used one a few months back. When I did, the site updated to say that I used one, and had three left to use, which I was planning on using next month.

But I checked ESS today, and it says I've got 0 personal days left (and 0 used). Before I go and pester the admin assistant, any idea what may have happened?

I am guessing ESS is the krogerpayroll website.  I think the info on there is only as good as the person that updates it.  They also post a list by the time clock listing ph days left and when they need to be used by.

Here, the rule is we have to use them before December 10th or so or we lose them.  Most old timers take a lot of time off in December and the holiday rush make it difficult to use them after that.

Definitely ask the Admin Assistant.  I have had ph days added onto paychecks from 6 months previous.  But, I was aware of it.  If you are part time, they might have added as days you called in or something.

 Ah, didn't know there's a date you have to use them by, thought it ran out at the end of the year. Thanks, will definitely ask around then :)

I know at my store they give us till then end fiscal year to us them up before we lose them.... Which this year is the end of January i think..

Any paid time off is not fully lost. If you don't "use up" your paid time off before the expiration date, which may very well be the week before Thanksgiving in some locals, then you will at least get additional money in your paycheck. So then you can go and request an OffNoPay day, and it'll basically be the same considering you got the money anyway.

Ours is the same way, but mgmt bluff most employees into using them before christmas.

 That would depend on the union contract.  Ours doesn't allow it.
