Can someone tell me why we're not allowed to decorate?  I remember in the past Kroger would have tinsel all around the store and on every aisle.  Each year we have done less than the year before and now we're not even allowed to put up stockings or a tree.  We have a box for employees to put Christmas cards for the other employees, but it has to be hidden from view!  And don't say it's money because we have decorations left from years past and it wouldn't cost Kroger anything!  So what's up?

I guess it depends on the store's management?

The store I used to work for decorated the place for Christmas. Granted, it wasn't grand, but definitely noticeable and gave the store a holiday theme. Some employees even wore santa hats on the week of Christmas.

Does your store have any Christmas items at all?  Maybe your store manager is one of those dumb Liberals who is afraid of offending all the Atheists, Jews, and Muslims.  If that's true, then I find that in itself offensive.

My store is nicely decorated. It's not over the top, but there are trees and lights at least.

Publix does a much better job decorating than we do.  We have a tree surrounded by drug/gm gift ideas but the rest of the store has nothing festive at all.

The only thing that's Christmas is the items we have for sale.  It's coming from the District manager.  I was just wondering how far u[ it goes!

Because someone higher up bitched because if "forcing" (not) a holiday upon others who don't celebrate. Honestly who phucking cares?!? I say decorate anyway. You're not making others who don't celebrate holidays be a part of the festivities... Or a customer bitched to the higher ups because their complaints weren't going anywhere.

We still decorate at our store. If no one likes it... Go elsewhere. Simple. We say happy holidays as to cover all holidays from Christmas to kwanza.
