Additional hours for grocery, we'll have to see if they are allotting enough. There should additionally be an increase in grocery manager pay to account for it, but I know there won't be.
this is definitely happening. i think it's a little crazy because grocery already seems spread thin and doesn't seem like it'll pick up anybody although I guess it didn't make sense to have nutrition under produce anyway.

They're supposedly hiring 1-2 more part timers here to account for it. And we have a teeny tiny nutrition area. We only do about 1200-1500 a week in nutrition sales.
Is this for all stores? Because I was going to say, nutrition is a part of produce here.
At least in our division, yes. produce currently has it but I was told in 2 weeks it would become grocery, including frozen & dairy nutrition items. I got an e-mail from our coordinator today that said she was going to a meeting to get specifics next Monday.

Good question, I'm not in a big enough store that has one. Contract states it must do 10k+ in nutrition sales a week to justify one. Possibly going to nights under the grocery umbrella? I'm curious about that myself.
Our store has a nutrition lead but our nutrition dept. only makes about 2,500 - 3,000 a week. I was talking with her today and she said she was coming back up front to cashier. There go our hours, she has a lot of seniority so our hours will be cut back. Everytime I get to the top 3 in seniority someone transfers in from another store or another department. Our store made the transition almost a month ago. They just run business as usual except now nutrition lead answers to groc mgr instead of produce mgr. And of course groc gets those hrs and sales instead of produce.
It's supposed to start next Monday for us, they changed the poll times for nutrition orders already. Our store manager has told us to hold off on the actual transition till he finds out more information though. I'll be happy I finally get credit for the frozen nutrition that I've been doing the entire time anyway.
