I got my W2 forms in recently and noticed something new; the retirement plan box is checked. Anybody know why this might be? I haven't signed up for or approved of a retirement plan. As you can tell, I'm young and honestly haven't even looked into this stuff.
At some point, Kroger automatically enrolls you in their retirement plans. You should have all gotten something about that in the mail a few months ago. It shouldn't hurt your refund.

I haven't worked for Kroger since August. I believe that's way more than "a few months ago".
Not like I'm getting any big retirement or pension. Hell, by the time it's time for me to retire, Social Security would have been repealed decades before.
