Keurig Coffee Makers
Permalink

Has anyone used those reusable filters Kroger sells that you can use for the Keurig coffee makers?  The black plastic ones you fill up yourself?  I'm thinking about getting one, just wondering if they work.  I have to save some money now that I'm unemployed.biggrin

One good thing today, I'm up and dressed and not hanging around in my pj's.  Nope.  Not going to wallow around in despair.

my mother got hers from either Kroger or WalMart they look similar. She's had no problem with hers and I've used them on visits and they work fine.

Thanks Sabathia, I'm going to get one tomorrow.  We are using way to many of the k cups and it's getting expensive.

I heard that Keurig has a new model that will only accept the newer k-cup models. Not sure if Kroger has changed their cups to comply with that or not, so be careful. Unless you have an older Keurig machine.

Supposedly they can be hacked to accept any brand just like the old ones, but I've no idea what's involved.

I wouldn't know. I don't even use Keurig, and perhaps never will.

I like my coffee the normal way, not some fancy-ass machine for people who don't know how to make a damn cup of joe.

But why make a single cup of coffee if you can just push a button and have the machine make it for you?  Takes less than a minute and it's so much easier than measuring out the coffee, putting in a filter, measuring the water and pouring it in.

Who said I only make a single cup of coffee? I'm quite a bit of a coffee drinker, and I'm not the only one in the household who does so.

It's a waste to have to open k-cup when I can just make a batch.

I can also use the coffee on other stuff to my fitting.

Hell, I don't even needa coffee maker. When the power goes out during the worst of a snowstorm, I've got my stove, pot, and water to get my coffee. Believe me, it's not that hard, I promise.

**** Keurig.

Well you did say "damn CUP of joe" not POT of joe LOL!biggrin  It's all good.  Can't find any reusable filters for the 2.0 anyway and I don't really want to use one that will leak, not fit, etc.  Not worth the trouble.

Glad you have a stove to use when the power goes out.  We have a loud ass generator that we use for the tv, space heater and coffee pot.  Gotta have the essentials!

Keurig coffee makers are great. I've had K55 model not so long time ago and now I have K250 brewing machine. They both have advantages and disadvantages, but in the end they're one of the best as of my knowledge. Keurig K55 vs K250 - this one could help you finding your answers. Hope it works!
