What the hell. I went shopping at Sprouts yesterday and needed a few items from Kroger that I didn't get a Sprouts. I parked, walked up to the store and saw the meat dept. guy standing in front of Kroger on his smoke break. So I stopped to talk with him. I talked for a few minutes then noticed something out of the corner of my eye. I looked over and there was the bitch comanager standing there with her hands on her hips giving me an evil glare. I just turned back and kept talking to meat dept. guy. Then I whispered "is she still over there?", he said no. What the hell? You know she saw me from inside the store and rushed out there to make sure I wasn't going to say something she didn't like. She's like a nasty fly that buzzes in your ear that you just want to smash and kill. Annoying as hell.
You know, it would be different if I was inside the store, ranting, cussing, talking with employees and holding them up from doing their job. But I haven't done any of those things. Most I've said is yea, I quit, it was time to go. That's about the extent of it.
Then this morning I go in to sign the clipboard so I can get my vacation pay. Smart ass Booth Leader says "oh, you think you're going to get vacation pay after you walked out? You're not getting it". I just smiled and said "well I just talked to the HR department and they said I would", smiled at her, handed her the clipboard and left. Bitch. What's it to her? It's not like she had to come in and do my job when I left, no siree. So now I hate her too. I came home and called the store manager and told him I talked to HR and he could call them about it if he wanted too. He was actually very nice to me and said he would handle it. I didn't mention bitch booth manager to him.
That's Kroger for you. They just like the drama, like to create problems where there shouldn't be any. No, I think it's some of them just delight in being a hateful bitch. Oh well, they can just just keep digging that hole deeper for all I care.
Sounds like you are looking for trouble to me.
You don't seem to like the people working at the store.
You think the prices are too high.
You don't work for Kroger any more.
Do your self and the store a favor and stay away.
If you continue shopping there, I'd be as sweet as pie to them, to the point of patronizing. That will REAllY piss them off. Just be über sweet and kind. What can they do? Nothing.

Oh I make sure I'm super happy, wearing my nice clothes, hair make up done. Which in reality I am quite happy so it's not that hard to do! Geesh, I'm even nicer to customers now, excuse me, let me help you get that down off the top shelf, etc. Don't mind at all now that I'm not on their ridiculous time schedule.
And I take my cart back in FrontEndSlave!!! Also take one in when I'm heading in if there is one in the parking lot or on the sidewalk. But I did that most days anyway.

wal-mart has done everything but murder people to keep the union out --- and i would not doubt if there is a body or two somewhere.
at least kroger has a union. even if it is practically worthless.

Walmart is just so fulcking filthy to shop in. It's like they don't even own a damned mop. Seriously, they recently built a brand spankin' new Supercenter near me, but it feels decades older than the Target down the road. The carts all have that rattle-y wheel, the shelves look beat up, and the cash registers still look older than the people running them. Thing is, Walmart won't replace a damn thing until it absolutely needs to be replaced. And by that I mean it takes several OSHA complaints to get something done, because their entire purchasing department probably consists of seven people at most.
I came home and called the store manager and told him I talked to HR and he could call them about it if he wanted too. He was actually very nice to me and said he would handle it. I didn't mention bitch booth manager to him.
