How many krogers can you be drug tested at..?

Basically I applied to several different krogers on my job hunt. I went to the interview not knowing which position I would be interviewed for. I was interviewed, drug tested then offered a position in the deli..after going home I received a call from another Kroger for an overnight position which I wanted. My question is how many stores can you be drug tested at within the same period of time? Would it affect the Kroger I actually want to work at from receiving my test results? Sorry if the question does not make sense lol. Also I don't do drugs so I know it's negative but the question I'm asking is Can i be drug tested/ have background checks ran at several different krogers? I have not yet did any paperwork for either Kroger! ( I know I cant work both) ALSOOOOO I'm a girl so would an overnight stocker position be hard for me?

Can you lift a 25 pound pallet 5 feet high repeatedly?
If not don't take the overnight position.

Most of those pallets weigh more than 25#s.  And, we are supposed to use team work to lift pallets to prevent back injuries.

Night grocery crew is where the action(work) is.  I am not sure about the other departments at night  It is very fast paced and a lot of physical work.  A lot of work gets done overnight because there are less customers to deal with.  Also, extra hours are given if the work demands it and the store manager allows it.

Deli is more customer service detailed.  And, it too can get busy with cranky customers.  Hours may be scarce.  Maybe you have the look Kroger wants to promote to the customers?

Each store does their own swab drug test.  I doubt the results would get mixed up.  And, both results should be negative for drug use...

Accept which ever position you want.  Let each store know you prefer the night position if that is what you want.  Very few people want to work overnight so they might put you to work quick.

Pallets are definitely over 25lb lol. Yes, we are supposed to have another person to help us when we lift them, however that is just not feasible most of the time as there are so many of them and people take them to the back at different times. The weight isn't usually the issue, it's the awkwardness of the weight distribution and height you need to lift. The actual requirement for grocery clerk is to be able to lift 50lb. Cases of sugar, flour, 2 liters and other things are all heavy at 40lb+.

If you're a "worker" who can work steady for 8 hours and not have any problems physically getting it done, night crew can be fun depending on the store. It's usually a lot more lax when it comes to some things since customers aren't in the store(unless you're a 24 hour store).

We've never had any girls at night at our store, mainly because all of the ones who have wanted to, haven't been able to physically handle it. However, I've helped a few other stores with their grand openings and they've had a couple. Problem is, production expectations are getting higher and higher with ELMS and so we usually have to turn down older people, or anyone who isn't fit enough to do the work to work at night. Years ago, hours were plentiful enough that there was enough slack that could be picked up from extra hours to accommodate some people being slower. Now, there just isn't. And since it's primarily a production job, and not a customer service job, there is no room for leeway.

My store's grocery manager used to be a night crew leader, so she must have been able to do the lifting. She's a grocery manager who actually is out on the floor a lot working stock, she isn't hiding upstairs all day. She isn't exactly the big muscley type either...

I think there's a woman working overnight here too.

If you are capable, don't see why not. I wouldn't be able to handle it for multiple reasons, but to each their own.

I'm a girl and did night crew. I could handle the work but always felt like I had to work a little harder and faster to prove my self. Even if I did the same exact amount as the guy next to me I would get teased about not being able to keep up. Plus side to it from working that little bit harder and faster than the guys I ended up being able to do circles around any one of them. So sexism is there but it just made me a stronger person and my team respected me for it.
