Chances of leaving Kroger keep increasing...

So although I still don't have a four-wheeled transportation thanks to the monster in my driveway needing repair and Kroger not providing enough $$ to care for it, I am still looking hopeful for the future.

Today I interviewed at Home Depot for Garden Department.....but when I mentioned getting carts, I was asked if I would consider Lot Attendant as well. Doesn't mean I will be hired for either spot, but it opened my chances. Who knew?

And then the upcoming pet store in town called me asking if I was still interested. I told them if I had to tell Kroger I couldn't work or would leave them entirely it was do-able. Mentioned how the past few weeks I've only had 12 hours and only gotten more because I have been coming in when asked. Think that impressed her, that I would go in on my days off if asked.

Just applied to another job online as well.

I hope to leave this company soon. I plan to shred my Kroger Card through a paper shredder and mail the bits to my Front End Manager. No joke.
I'll keep one or two of the scraps but the rest goes to her. It'll be glorious.

So... No warehouses or factories around you? They'll hire anyone. Ex-cons, dropouts, anyone. And unlike retail you can get full time off the bat.

I'm pretty sure all low-level retail jobs are going to have the same "problems". The only difference would be how management treats you

True!  I've heard Home Depot is a good company to work for.

FES - I'm really just joking with you, you know that.

Good. Please do yourself a favor and leave Kroger. You sound as miserable as you would walking off La Amistad in chains. There are other jobs out there. Go for it.

It took two weeks before my employee discount dropped off.  Then another week of hassle to my senior discount back on my card.
