Time off for Vacation declined

A vacation/Cruise planned since January was declined on GreatPeople.me. I'll be honest, this Cruise matters more to me than this job as a Courtesy Clerk. What do you do in these instances of being declined of time off?

Did you tell them ahead of time that it was for a cruise, or is it that Kroger just don't give a flip!

Most likely it is the latter.disbelief

If your job doesn't matter to then just quit. But first talk to your dept. head or manager and see why your vacation was denied.
I wish people would learn that they will get better answers at store level than on this forum.

I asked for a weekend off as that is how long the cruise is for. I told them 2 months in advance and stated 3 weeks ago that I would be on a cruise during this weekend.

I'm 18 now so there is much better jobs available. And I told them about this beforehand and booked 2 months in advance.

A whole back I wrote a similar post about blacked out dates. its up to you on your vacation on what oh want to do.

me, I'm planning on going to Disneyland Easter weekend. I'm just gonna fake sick and visit the doctor And get a note. You could do what I'm going to do but it's risky. (I'm sure other posters remember a post about vacation blacked out days)

So quit already and go get that better job. By the way, why aren't you working in that better place? Is it because you know they wouldn't put up with crap from some little punk who thinks the world should revolve around him.

Way to assume there pal. Don't think the world revolves around me actually, so stop being some little punk who is giving crap to someone they don't even know.

Why aren't you working at one of those "better" jobs? I would really like to know. Have they ever offered you a job.

So they said yes when you asked them, then denied it?  Go back to who you talked to and explain it again.  Either that or get another employee to cover your shift.
