The manager and co-manager are the only ones who can officially write up employees.

I am just a backup but I made up official looking forms on my home computer.

If I get a new hire I don't like, I start using these forms to"write them up". They usually don't know any better and I can get them to quit in about two weeks. Of course I have the rest of the night crew on my side since they don't want some useless piece of crap sneaking thru probation.

Yeahhhh, this will get you fired if the right person finds out.   Don't do this.

But, for a no call no show, have a co-manager prepare a CA(write-up) and deliver it with you as a witness the next time that employee works.

Something to note though, often times communication is terrible and an employee actually called in, but was not communicated to the department, especially if that department is at night.   Check to make sure before issuing a write-up.

And when they go to their union rep & a salaried manager finds out about your "official looking forms", you'll get a REAL write up.

Agreed. You're lying to your employees. Get caught and the union will hand your mgr the pen to sign your pink slip.

LMFAO, I can't believe so many people think a backup would be handing out fake write ups.
Anyone want to buy a bridge.

Our contract says you have to contact a member of management two hours before your shift.  If you don't know how to do a write up it's probably because it's not your job to handle one.  Or you can go ahead and tell management how to do their job lol!

I got a floor supervisor demoted for this.
