i have only been working at kroger for about a month.. i am scheduled to work sunday but i just found out about an important event i need to go to sunday. what do you think will happen if i ask for sunday off on saturday? i know it is really short notice and all but is it likely i will be able to get off?? -- thanks.
What department are you in, how many people can cover your shift, how nice is your department head, if it's so important why didn't you know about it sooner? So many variables here it's really hard to answer you...

yeah i know, i def would have asked sooner if i had known, but it is a last minute emergency type deal. i am in bakery so there will most likely be some people that could cover for me. i would only need to miss like 2 hours. i'll have to ask my dept head
If it's only two hours and you have enough employees to cover the time it might not be that big of a deal :) Depends on how nice your bakery manager is i suppose.
