Just curious if other stores have changed night stock shifts from 10 to 6 to midnight to 8. Most everyone I know on 3rd works it for a reason. I've worked 10 to 6 for the past 15 years so I can be home to get my kids off to school and be available to them for whatever reason. I'm told the shift change
is " needs of the business" what happened to the Kroger family? Make it right for the employee's too.
It was never 10-6 here. The unloaded would start breaking the truck down at 10:30, grocery manager would roll in at 11, and the rest of the crew at midnight.
They've been trying to switch us, but we're fighting it hard. Personally, I couldn't stand the 12-8 shift and if they were to force that, I might have to think about finding other positions in the company. Right now I work 8-4(regular stockers are 10-6, night managers come in early) and like that shift.

When i was on the overnight stocking crew we came in at 11 and the grocery mgr at 12. We were allowed to come at at 10 if we wanted so things are more laid back here
