Both Cultural Council/Inclusion and STAR Safety are supposed to be allotted hours, from my understanding, but I have never seen those hours materialize in any shape or form. If Cultural Council/Inclusion or STAR Safety has a meeting, the hours being "used" are taken from the normal pool of hours. I never see any extra help scheduled to cover meetings/activities/responsibilities of Cultural Council/STAR Safety... you're basically expected to "fit it" in with your day and still somehow get all your work for the day, done. Forget about doing 70% of the stuff you're supposed to do if you're on either committee because the longer you spend performing your obligations, the less time you have for your work that you're expected to complete as well.
It's screwed up, but hey, it's Kroger. Everything about this company is screwed up.
