Did the company promise "cook-outs" for workers for 16 and/or 23 May 2015?  If so, what, if anything, was delivered?

We had barbecue sandwiches and chips and I don't know what else in the breakroom on those days.  It was suppose to be "Employee Sample Day".  They did it three times each day including one at midnight so the night crew wouldn't miss out.

That was the promise--on a giant poster hung in the break room--but not the reality at at least one store.  Night crew was forgotten/ignored--"No hotdogs for you!"--on the 16th, and nothing was done on the 23rd.

Thanks for the reply.

Night crew was also screwed at my store. Not surprised in the least.

They said they were going to, at our store. (An employee sampling). But then they cancelled it, not sure why.

What ever.

Now they are promoting the "Red, White, and Barbeque" crap. It's awful.

Our poster fell on the floor and everyone just walked all over it. Oh, on the 23rd a pan of Bbq magically appeared in the break room.

We didn't have much communication (at least in my opinion) except for the poster in the breakroom. However, word of mouth traveled easily and I think most people enjoyed the events. On the 23rd they had a nice set up for the night crew (and me, late cashier). Pulled pork sliders, chips and salsa, pasta salad, alcohol-free sangria, pop, and water. I thought it was really good. Even though we didn't have the grill out, the other food was good and I was very surprised.

I had to make the pulled pork sliders. Since they are very...um...special at my store, we had to cook the pork in the oven. I was told for 30 minutes, and it became blackened. Covered the sumbitch up with bbq sauce because DILLIGAF.

We were supposed to, but when people went to the break room where they flyer said it would be held, there was nothing. BUT our managers boasted about how amazing the food was so I'm guessing that all the managers in our store got to experience it and we're just not worthy enough or something.

I'm full time and was somehow scheduled around the employee tastings.  I saw nothing, heard nothing about it from others.

As far as I know nothing was done although the cultural council lead pats herself on the back every chance she gets while whining about lack of support.  confuse
