Paid vacations question

I'm part-time and I getting a vacation the same week a full-time Supervisor is getting a vacation. I've already made plans. I didn't know this till last week. I've been at Kroger longer than they have. Who would get it?

Several people can go on vacation at the same time as long as they aren't all doing the same job. If it is an issue, probably them because they're a full-timer and a supervisor.

It depends.

If you put in your vacation before the deadline (which was March with us) and the managers didn't say anything to you then, you are good.

It IS based on seniority after the deadline. IF the supervisor and you put in after the deadline it's based on seniority.

Usually if you do different jobs it's okay and you both go. If you're cashier or bagger you should be a-ok.

I was told I couldn't go. We both work in the bakery. But I'm going anyway no matter what. I may be losing my job after 8 years being there..

How did it get approved if you're both in the bakery? If it wasn't approved you can't go.

You should have seen your vacation schedule a LONG time ago. You would have had plenty of time to make or change your plans wouldn't you?

If it was approved, file a grievance before you go!
