The key to promotion is doing whatever your district manager seems to want. "Ethics, schmethics" better be your motto.

Nope.

Our district posted over 400 bids a few months back. The bid stack was over an inch thick.

Basically, they gave anyone with a pulse full time. I haven't figured out why they posted all those bids.

Promotions seem to go to the person with the most seniority, skill and knowledge seem to have very little to do with it.

while this is true, I've noticed a significant increase in promotions among 2 different categories of people....I'm mainly talking promotions to assistant managers, store managers, and other levels above that...not so much within the store
