Don't know what the heck happened after inventory, but all my cigs got inactivated and balance went to negatives. Everything else has shown wrong balances. I have way more product than what cao says I have...took 8 hours to fix the cigs. Ugh. No time for that.

lol.  You must have gotten the same inventory crew we had.  They had no clue how to count.  Our store was forced to accept the numbers they counted.  What a mess they made.

Allocation is 15, they would count 69.  I think they were counting the brand of several flavors as one item.

If you are Drug/GM, I feel bad for you.  You have a lot of little stuff to deal with and can't have 2 tons of backstock.  Candy is probably already a half ton of your storage..  :)

It might be worth setting aside time to check every set one at a time.

I already spent 8 hours on cigarettes..I haven't even got to my candy yet. So far behind. And of course this week I only got 92 hours, including file. What the hell do I do with that. I am convinced corporate is adjusting elms to force us into working 5 times harder than we already have too

Inventory *******s. Hate 'em. Just come in, dump their coffees on the registers or wherever, don't talk to anyone, act like they're better than everyone else, and the ONE thing they're really supposed to be able to do - count - they can't. Worthless SOBs.

We haven't had inventory yet, but it's scheduled for the day after the local college opens so that will be tons of fun. Not to mention we're remodeling the store so we don't know where half of our products are anyway.

I don't know who Kroger uses for inventory, but those jokers always ****ed **** up. Not to mention they always seemed to be dirty, like actually filthy dirty. There always seemed to be one weirdo old dude, a methed out woman, and one humongous fat dude. And they took over the break room like they were running a military op.

My last job our inventory crews were awesome. They were always clean, respectable people that seemed like they enjoyed their job and they were paid well in return. And in all of the counts that we did (once a month, fer chrissakes!) we only usually ended up having them recount one or two sections and they were only off by one or two. They were that good.

Pretty sure most of our inventory people are through a temp agency. One of them said he gets paid $8/hr. I mean seriously these people have indirect control over thousands of Kroger's dollars and they aren't even getting paid a dollar over minimum wage.
