Ok so a little back story i have delt with depression & anxiety my whole life... Its pretty bad..

Anywaysss so i recently got hired on as a Courtesy Clerk.. been working there for about a month now (which also means im still on my 60 day probation) anyway i was suppose to work 5 - 10 today i got there and everything was fine i guess but it got super busy out of no where and idk i just had a bad panic attack, (Shaking, Sweating the whole 9 you get it) and this has happened before so i do what i normally do and i go into the bathroom or step outside just in solitude and take a miniute to catch a break and just clear my head, well this time it didnt work and i just was not feeling it i was starting to get sick on my stomach (may had been because i didnt eat anything) but i just clocked out and left i couldnt do it, i was just so ****ing stressed i couldnt handle it today so i just left... I know it was a horrible thing to do and i know i ****ed most of the people in the front end, they probably hate me now and i do feel like a complete ******* but i dont know where to go from this, considering i work tomorrow though.

Yikes!

As a CC, it is just a job.  Do not worry about it.  There isn't anything as a cc that you could do too wrong.  You need to get the panic attacks under control so you can have a good life even if it isn't at Kroger.

It is possible no one knew you left if you were newer.  lol.

When you leave without telling anyone, it is called job abandonment.  You should have told your FES or store manager that you were sick but atleast said something.

I would deal with the consequences head on today.  Call and speak to a store manager/comanager and explain what happened.  They might understand and might not.

I too have had mild depression and have had panic attacks.  I kind of understand what happened.  A CC job is not worth stressing about.  There are other jobs than Kroger.  I want you to be well and find calm in your life.

Go in tomorrow, clock in, start working. Only address it if your manager asks you about it. He/she will ask you about it if it's a problem.

If/when they do, Ask for your union rep to come with you and, when you're up stairs, tell them strait up what happened. Don't try to pull any punches. Hope that the person that you're talking to understands that you were having a really bad panic attack and didn't know what to do and it was effecting you in such a way that you were unable to continue working at the time and that you're not planning to make a habit of it.

They may recommend you talk to a doctor, unless they already know it's an issue. If you don't plan on seeing a doctor - tell them you plan on it.

Best of luck, friend. I hope you are able to get the help you need. Stay safe.

Best advice.

If you can, I would suggest finding a different job.  Kroger is so busy and so many people all the time, it's a lot to handle without panic attacks!  Another thing you might try (if you can) is to work the early morning shift or the late shift when it isn't so busy.

Good luck to you.

Or You could try working stock. Stocking allows much more flexibility to step away when you need to, especially night stock at non-24 hour stores and dairy or frozen departments. I have anxiety too and I'd step into the freezer for a minute if I had a bad panic attack when I worked frozen.
