Company employees who can't seem to understand or figure out why you're stressed out trying to do the work of two people or more as a single individual.

....Also when a customer is having to wait 'X' amount of time.
Kroger uses those stupid thermal sensors and an algorithm that not even Stephen Hawking could understand in an attempt to calculate how many people should be working Front End at any given time, how much a customer may have to wait in the next 30 minutes and, when it is all "added" up, how many lanes you should have open now, open in 30 minutes, and had open a few minutes ago.

It's basically math that not even space aliens who have discovered warp theory out of the Star Trek universe would try to parse.
It is, at its core, a good example of the insanity of the human race and how much Kroger wishes it could look cool to other businesses such as Wal-Mart and Ingles.

what front end slave said. you've got 90 seconds or less to get every customer through.  Any customer that waits that long, can cause in a dip.

the front end can have three per day to stay "green" and up to 7 to stay "yellow."

if you get a "dip," you often have to explain to management why this happened and who to blame.  Sometimes you know like a stupid ridiculous order with three buggies or you got rushed and there was no or sloth relief help.

I feel sorry for you if you guys have to explain why you had a miss. That's the Front-End PIC's issue, not yours as a cashier. Yes, you should be trying to go fast-ish, but it's not your job to monitor Que-vision and ensure that you have a Back-up cashier at busy times of the day, or to help guide customers into empty checkstands. That's what your front-end PIC is for. We never have to explain. Our Front-end PIC takes all the responsibility if we have a miss/dip in your QVision.

I guess I'm not the only that don't know what a DIP is. Got a lot of grips but not one explaination.
