Partial-Punch Payroll Procedure?

Does the company have a standard operating procedure for partial/missed punches?  If so, does it involve deleting the data from Kronos after noting it on a piece of paper?

What do you mean by partial punch?

One day I was trying to clock out at the end of my shift.  Instead I hit break.  I waited a minute and then Clocked out.  The clock thought I had been there the entire 10 hours between my shifts.  I forgot to write mispunch in the log book.

My fearless astute CSM that does payroll knew what happened and fixed it before I told him about it the next morning.  Basically, he deleted the mispunched break and the hours were corrected.  It is still on the computer file but deleted and shows who deleted it.  Other than that, it is no big deal.

Partial/missed punch, meaning one not recorded.

Your experience of folks working together to get people paid sounds like a good one.

In another store, the manager seems to be hindering payment of wages by making the time-correction notebook inaccessible and by directing payroll people to delete partial-punch Kronos data.

My CSM gets annoyed when I "forget" to clock out for my breaks.

Ive seen a memo where if you've clocked in but didn't punch they write dowb the time and delete the entry in kronos without asking the employee when he punched out on that day. It seems rather deceptive and unethical.
