Is there a way to tell how many hours you worked on a specific date in the past? Like how many hours you worked on September 1st for example? Does Kroger have some online system or anything?

Whoever does payroll at your store can look up what your punches were in Kronos on that day.  They can even print your punches for that day for you.  If you didn't punch, it won't be saved anywhere.

I write down all the hours I worked.  I have had punches not happen that I am sure happened.

Then there is the store director of questionable scruples who instructs payroll clerks to delete punch data from Kronos.

My God that picture is astounding, I've never seen anything like that and around here Kronos is treated with respect and dignity. Hope you report that to EthicsPoint straight away. Or better yet, name and shame 'em on social media, that oughta get Kroger's attention.

ASPs are suppose to record at least 2 years of schedules. I'm sure with that information you can determine if you were shorted on a week by matching how many hours you worked.

Done, and done.  We find the very limited feedback through there to be evasive and secretive.

Are you able to view the photo files showing the "delete shift from Kronos" memo?

We asked, "If the company has a standard procedure for missed punch handling, does that memo reflect it?"

Is this matter of company policy "confidential"?

Are associates not allowed to know what company policy is?

Company policy is not confidential. We provide each employee an Associate Handbook, which contains our policies. All associates are responsible for recording their time and will be paid in accordance with such time. Thank you for filing your report.

In other words, it's for management to know and for low-end associates to (not) find out.

The store director is still there, and people are still being denied/delayed wage payments.

Let me get this straight.  My paycheck is short, but you can't discuss it with me because it's confidential?  My attorney would have a filed day with that one!  Lying cheats.  Who comes into the store and clocks in if they aren't working?  We hate Kroger.  We don't want to be there any longer than we have to lol!

I worked 8.25 hours on 6th day pay last week. Somehow .25 of it was put on regular earnings... any time on 6th day pay is overtime.

Have you talked to HR and/or the Union? That doesn't sound right. Any time the time clock gives us trouble, we tell management or leave them a note and they put us in manually.

I had a co-worker who straight up didn't get paid because she had some missed punches so the SAA basically said F'it and didn't enter anything. When she confronted the SAA she was told it was her own fault because she wasn't punching in and out correctly. Ok, she accepted that and asked for a cash payout to which she was told, no. When she told the SAA that the company has to pay her because she worked (and HELLO, bills) she was again told, no. She was told it would be on her next paycheck. When she got her next paycheck it was $100 short. She called the Dist Manager to report the situation. He said he couldn't do anything about that. She hung up on him and put in her two weeks.

My co-worker went through a similar situation. They kept saying they could not (refused)do anything about it. So what he did to make up for missing hours, he clocked in, and "hid" for a bit to make up the first little bit of his missing pay. Then at the end of his shift, he hid again and stayed over to make up the rest.

His reasoning? They take from him, he takes back.

Re: Krogrr Withholding Wages

This is part of why we should openly discuss these issues--to try and see how much wrongdoing is that of a bad apple and how much may be a product of rotten, corrupt corporate culture.

As I read the laws, companies can't legally withhold wages just because they'd rather keep your money.  In Texas, for example, there is the Texas Payday Law

The federal government can also have a say: http://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/hrg.htm#15.

Employers who have willfully violated the law may be subject to criminal penalties, including fines and imprisonment.

The store director who presided over this mess is still there, and people are still having trouble getting their wages and vacation pay and even onto the clock. The District 12 manager and HR person who kept this store director in place have both been rewarded with promotions.
