Parents coming that friday(sister is in HS so have to wait for her to be done with school) while it's also a sorority night. I want to try to make the soriority night thing before my parents come for dinner that night and it's also parents weekend so scheduling people would understand. My availability says 1-10 fridays coz class ends at 11:30 and lunchtime. I'd prefer 12-5 just for that day. My availability in general for friday is 1-10 yet usual time would be 1-6 if not having to work 5-10 shift. tomorrow will be my 4th day on the job so last week had two days of computer training then worked that friday. Oct 2 is when I want to request 12-5. I can 100% make it to work on time without rushing though might be. I'll eat early I guess and use a break for food time. Basically, can I ask for the 12-5 shift next week. Friday is a busy grocery day. My krogers is open 24/7 and my shift tomorrow is from 5-10pm. Courtesy Clerk if that matters.

You can try. Put it in eschedule and make a request to your schedule writer. They can't promise anything but might try. You could try going directly to the store manager if you are on good terms with them. But you don't want to tick off the CSM that writes the schedule. Your call.
Another option is to trade shifts with someone after schedule is written. Bribe them with an snack or drink?
Sure, put in that request. Because of your refusal to bow to the almighty Kroger and make yourself available every second of your life, they'll cut your hours. Fortunately, that means less having to work at Kroger.
