Hi all, I'm a new employee at Fred Meyer. I received a letter from HR through another coworker about a hiring step that I need to complete. The first step is to "login to KnowMe and navigate to Onboarding under the Home menu." I've never heard of KnowMe and have failed to find it online. Is this something I need to use our store computers for possibly? I'm obviously going to go to HR and inquire about this issue if I can't solve it myself but I work night shift so HR has usually gone home for the day by the time I arrive. Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds shady af.
Anyway, if you have any questions about what you should be completing, it's best to ask your store management. Remember that Kroger is made up of a ton of other brands of stores, and they often get to keep some of their old practices while conforming to Cincinnati's standards.
Ok, I'll check in with Hr, thanks. It is a little weird, I've been on board for about a month and a half so I would have thought all the paperwork would have been completed.

I should add that while you may have great coworkers, anything that deals with your employment (computer training, assessments, other requirements) should be discussed directly with your management. After all, it IS your job on the line, and the least you'd want would be an inconvenience later when things don't turn out like what a coworker would describe.
