Status 1 gets slightly better benefits and is guaranteed 40 hours a week. Very few people are status 1 except the old timers and people who have been there 10 years plus, or department heads.
Status 3 are the other full time people, they actually are only guaranteed like 34-36 hours a week (i forget which) but are also considered full time.

Thats weird because i'm status 4 and always have 30-35 hours a week, sometimes 40.
You can, in fact, i'm still status 4 but usually get that many hours too. But when they do your schedule it pops up and says something to the effect of "Are you sure you want to do this? You're over the 27 hour limit". Trust me, i've been shown eschedule and saw it. I don't think anyone gets penalized for doing it but thats how they make sure too many people don't get full time.
We have a guy thats been getting 40 hours for years now as part time. They just keep taking advantage of him with the girl that works next to him getting full time and really is useless and calls in half the weekends...seniority union bs...
