I have heard some rumors recently about ending paper paychecks for good and moving over to direct deposit and debit pay cards for employees...You can still get a paper paycheck, but I've heard some rumours about those being phased out soon...Is this already going on at other stores, or have any of you heard inklings of this? I'm sure it will save money and paper, but was just curious what everyone else thinks about this...
If your store has a bank, they might give you free checking if you direct deposit your check to that account.
If you get a debit pay card, there may be a fee to use it each time. You might lose it and there is no way to replace it. Or, you could ask the service desk to cash it and then it will be easy to spend your whole check.
Best option is to sign up for direct deposit and live happily ever after like mega-kitteh
Most of the banks inside of Kroger will give you a free account, just direct deposit it there and use the card. I pay all my bills by transfer online so never see cash.
