Okay I am a bagger. Today I helped an  old man out to his car and helped him lift heavy 32 pack of waters. 3 things of it. I'm a girl and I weight only 95 lbs if that says anything. I loaded his groceries into the car and he thanked me. He then pulls out his wallet and insist I take a tip I told him no but he wouldn't listen.

So I put it in my pocket and went inside. Soon after I was bagging and my CSM calls me over and tells me that a customer seen it and  called and complained. She then tells me that tips are not allowed and etc and etc. I tell her I didn't want the money. She then tells  that this is between me and management. So one of the co's was at the desk. I went up to him and explained the situation. He seemed understanding. I  gave him the money (it was like 3 bucks)  he explained what they do with the money and ect. and went back to bagging.  Am I going to get written up for this? Or worse? fired get this? I am truly worried. I always tell customers I can't accept and  most of the time they put their money up. I don't want to lose my job over this. :(  What should I do?

Good god that pic is like a UTI waiting to happen.

What does it matter to a customer if you receive a tip? Thats the part i don't understand. more likely a co worker saw it and was jealous.

Might wanna check your union contract, Local 1000's at least allows tips so long as you don't solicit the customers. Even if you didn't want the money you may have still been entitled to it.

I would have said " oh it's ok, that elderly gentleman was my grandfather and he gave me some money to get lunch/snack after work. If they asked me how much, i would have said about $nunya.00 (nunya business and zero cents). I said that to a nosy cashier and yeah.... It went to management because I "overstepped my bounds."

 I like your solution best.

OP, you might get an SIR, Serious Incident Report.  I doubt it tho.  You tried your best to not take the tip.  If the manager was going to fire you, they would have fired you already.  I admire how you went directly to the comanager and didn't hesitate.  If the comanager didn't explain how you are supposed to deal with tips, ask them how they want you to deal with them if it ever happens again.

You did nothing wrong.  Do not worry another minute about it.  I assure you it was another employee that snitched on you.  Some coworkers are greedy, jealous and suck.  Over 3 whole dollars!!

I have a friend in NationalGaurd.  He is about 6' tall and 140#.  He had to gain weight to stay in...  Anyway, they teamed him up with a seasoned Gaurdsman.  He gets to carry his 70# of his own gear and another 40# of gear for his team member( I might be exaggerating but not much).  I think they are trying to wear him out to make him quit.  The fools they are!  He is a trooper and will come out stronger and tougher than any of them if they are in actual combat.
