I switched departments a few weeks ago from cashier to drug/gm. I also work file maintenance. I'm still making only $7.55 an hour. I began at Kroger making only $7.35 that was 15 months ago. Am I supposed to be getting paid any more since I switched departments?
pay depends on quite a few things. pay for clerks in both a cashier position and drug/gm are the same. It is the drug/gm lead that makes a lot less than front end lead. And about the person that said they started at 12 something an hour. Technically it is possible. Experience pay and higher minimum wage in their state could allow them to start at that.
I do grocery resets merchandising at 12.75/hr 28-30 hrs a week Most days we finish our work in 3-5 hours. Sometimes 2 hours. But we're paid the full day's pay. The money to work ratio is pretty decent I think.
I worked in grocery for 2 years but switched over to merchandising.
