More likely until autumn. Probably around mid to late September. Kroger always has the most insufferable commercials. Even Walmart's is legions better. That commercial really is insufferable tho lol
What I love best about it is the one-two punch: the racist celeb pitch for those presumed to prefer non-standard English, and the follow-on Kroger spot for standard-speakers, which only highlights how insulting the first clip was.
The whole thing is remarkably tone-deaf for Coke. Who the hell cares which lyric hook (because that's all you get, not the full lyrics) appears on your can? And why did Coke think it was worth it to be so condescending?

I can almost predict when they play this commercial in our store. Today I had it going in my brain wondering if it would come on and right at that moment, it came on! It is super annoying! I had hoped initially that they wouldn't play it as often as the promotion continued, but now I just want it gone! I hope by August 1st, it will go away. Knowing Kroger though, that is probably wishful thinking. I think the most annoying thing about that commercial is that the guy is talking so fast that you can't exactly understand what he's saying during part of it. I've heard it probably hundreds of times and I still can't decipher what he's saying.
