For how many hours?  It doesn't do any good to be paid $15.00 an hour and then only get 12 hours a week.

This.  Also depends on where you are.  For example, $15/hr in Michigan would go a lot further than $15/hr in Cali.

(But I'd choose living in Cali over MI...too much snow and everything's ass backwards)

Depends on if you have two incomes, location, kids, many things. In most areas, it is decent for retail work.

What about $12.75/hr working 15-20hours a week and getting paid 30 hours a week? Merchandising work so it's work till work gets finished type of deal.

I actually lived in Cali for a couple of years and while they have Prop 65, Michigan's laws across the board is just ugh.

Also, I dunno how many more polar vortexes I can take.

depends on the job position and company. what would your job title be, how much is the typical pay for your position for your company and comparable companies, what work are you performing, do you have previous experience?

I don't consider $15.00 an hour "good money". My current rate is $14.75. I'm full time & after taxes, union dues & family plan insurance/dental, I clear $400.00 per week. Not so great!!!

15.00 is great Money for Kroger.  I'm a pharmacy technician and I fill scripts every day, people's lives depeND on me not making fatal errors, which do occur, but yet it being union, Kroger pays us 10.75 per hour, way below property level standards.  No single person living on their own can afford this wage, so 15.00, is a big deal....hell, I'd love to see 400.00 per week!!!!5
