Spouse Health Insurance

What is going on with Kroger Health Insurance?  I've been an hourly employee for 4 years and well over 40 hours a week (Status 1) and now they tell me I CANNOT  put my wife on my health insurance.  HR told me that they no longer will carry a spouse on health insurance unless they are TRANSGENDERED! HR also said that Kroger is "re-vamping" their health insurance so that the oldest 100 employees can carry their spouses! What about us normal everyday workers who have a wife and a couple of kids?  Why can't we carry our wives on our health insurance plan?  This really sucks because now I have to look for another job because we are both 26 and she is coming off her parents plan.  I thought I would make a career at Kroger but they obviously don't give a **** about their employees or real families!

Anybody else having trouble with this? Hey UNION PEOPLE WHY AREN'T YOU HELPING US?

Obama and the union made this all possible. You can however have the insurance pay for your spouse to get that transgender operation so he-she can get the insurance. Take care!

The Union isn't going to help you. They are the ones that allowed this to happen, along with the President they supported for election, and his Obamacare.  In my area the only extra insurance you can get is health insurance for children and you can add JUST Vision/Dental for spouses.

yeah... that's been kicking my budet's hind end for the past 2 years. Oh, but wait! It gets better! They offer spouse insurance again.... But for $200+ a month! And guess what else? No extra money to help pay for that... just a $0.25 raise. Gee thanks oh great corporate masters. Glad we can line your coffers with our sweat and you throw us scraps and charge us for it.
