Does Kroger Allow Bereavement Leave

Does kroger allow bereavement leave in the event of a direct family member loss?

I read a few contracts ago that we were allowed up to one month off (three weeks).  Is that still true or did it get removed in the recent contract?

What state are you in?

Our contract gives 2 days off for direct family members.  3 more days=/- if the funeral is out of state.

We had an employee take the week off when her newborn nephew passed away.  The store managers didn't raise a stink about it.

You need to speak directly to your store manager and find out what they are willing to allow.  The next two weeks will be light in sales.  The weeks leading up to Christmas will be a little busy.  Then, in January, sales will plummet.

We had someone at the service desk take two weeks off because her mom died. Nobody questioned it.

You get 3 days off paid from what i understand, but if you need more time, you usually can take more time off unpaid, depending on how your management is.

One of my former department heads took a month off when her husband died.
