Hello, again, everyone. Gilmer aka BagBoy here!

I'd like to let you all know that I now join the ranks of many people older than myself and ever the original Admin himself.

I quit Kroger.

The past 6 years with you all have been a blast and I realize I haven't been a fully active member in quite some time. That being said....

I have been the Moderator since TheDude took his leave of absence.

and that time has come again. I'd like to make this thread into more than just an "I quit" thread.

I'd like you all to give some suggestions about who might be suited for the moderator position here on the Kroger Employee Forum!

Hopefully you stick around. Provided great content to the forum. Thanks for your service BagBoy!

Though I am curious what are you doing now and why did you quit?

It wasn't a single thing that lead to my decision to quit but multiple compounding things. Health and gas prices being the two major factors. The straw that broke the camels back, however, was management toxicity and having no suitable replacement to transfer after moving.

I'm working as an IT consultant, currently. I focus on Java applications for business and a little voice acting! :D

Good luck to ya, BagBoy. I enjoyed reading your posts, and to quote one of my fave films, I hope you see those Kroger skags on the road like I saw the Nightrider. aww

Why were you working at Kroger with those qualifications?

What were you doing at Kroger? I know your name states bag boy and I've seen your older posts, but what was your last position? Anyways, best of luck and hope to see you stick around.

Congrats on leaving kroger but I hope you stick around and talk to us some.

If no one else wants it I could be the New mod since I usually have no life and check this once a day anyway lol

Sorry to see ya go, hopefully it doesnt mean the forums too. I liked your posts.

I'll raise a hand for a Mod position if there is one needed. I usually check this site once / twice a day too.

Best of luck to you.

How about a team of moderators?  I, too, could help.

My last position was in receiving and I could do pretty much anything a backup could do. I had access to spa and was allowed to change prices, make tags, review orders ect.

[EDIT:] I just checked for my paystub and access to all my information on ess.kroger.com(ExpressHR) and vpnb-hdc.kroger.com(Greatpeople.me) has been revoked.

I'd really need to talk to dude about something like that. I would personally prefer to keep the mod staff small so that personal conflicts are less likely to happen. I've been running on a motto of "Don't delete unless it's a personal attack on someone or spam" like how I handled the whole FES and Glenn stuff.

I understand, no prob. Pretty much my policy for a site i'm an admin for, the head Boss laid this out to us as simply as he could. "unless the user does harm to the community (not to you), do not delete or take action. Spam isn't allowed, and when in doubt, call it out. (don't just take a post away because another mod says no, defer to the mod / admin above you (who has been appointed before you. And / or work it out with a panel first just as if it was a case, you present arguments, facts, etc. And then the panel decides, not you.)
